Small weddings and elopements allow you to focus on your connection as couple. They are authentic, free from stress, and allow you to plan an experience for you both to remember.
Elopements are so intimate and emotional… there’s nothing more special than just being with the two of you totally lost in the moment, surrounded by beauty in every direction. One great aspect of eloping is the flexibility you have to do what you want, as opposed to the average wedding day which is stuck to a timeline of the day. You can just have fun. Your day will still fly by, be sure to soak up every moment and treasure the photos from your incredible day.
Wee weddings and elopements are right for you if you have a sense of free spirit and adventure. Couples in the 18th Century began to come from Scotland to Gretna Green due to Scotlands relaxed marriage laws.A couple could be handfasted and declare themselves married.
Still to this day you have more freedoms in Scotland. You can marry anywhere..all you need is a registered marriage celebrant, two witnesses and to give at least 29 days notice of your intent to marry. There are no legally defined vows allowing you to express your relationship and definition of marriage in a personal and modern way.
Get married in your back garden, up a hill or by a loch. The choice is yours.

Since 2009, I have had the privilege of photographing over 300 weddings. My journey in photography began as a teenager, capturing bands on 35mm film. I cherish blending analogue photography with digital techniques, allowing me to evoke nostalgia and authenticity for slower-paced moments while using digital for the vibrant energy of parties and fast-paced parts of a wedding day.
My true passion lies in capturing love and emotion, pouring my heart and soul into every wedding. It is an honour to capture the essence of your love story, creating timeless images that you and your loved ones will cherish for a lifetime.
Elopement photography offers a unique opportunity for me to connect with each couple, allowing me to authentically tell your story. Having lived in Scotland my entire life, I can trace my family roots here for over 500 years. I come from a family that relished climbing Munros (large hills for those unfamiliar!) and my heart truly belongs to the hills. My father, a surveyor of heritage buildings, inspired my explorations of Scotland’s incredible architecture.
In addition to photography, I was a semi-professional dancer for 14 years and have dabbled in acting. Fun fact: I appear in season 2 of Outlander!
I embrace all love stories with an LGBTQ-friendly and inclusive approach to photography. Based in Edinburgh, Scotland, I photograph throughout the country and beyond, having travelled across the UK and Europe, including Norway, Italy, Spain, and Portugal.
