Double exposures #onfilm ✨🎞️

I’ve really enjoyed experimenting with double exposures over the last year. There’s something so magical about layering two frames together and creating an image that feels somewhere between a photograph and a memory.

I love that they’re impossible to fully control. A little collaboration between my instinct, light and chance. Sometimes they don’t work at all… and sometimes they create something far more beautiful than I could have planned.

They remind me why I love film so much. Not everything has to be perfect. Sometimes happy accidents become your favourite photographs (like the last frame where I accidentally shot over a partly shot roll 😂)

A sun-drenched tablescape straight out of a daydream. Lush florals, soft vintage tones and timeless elegance.

Set beneath ornate ironwork and arched windows, every detail feels like a love letter to old-world charm.

The film frames from Sheridan & Donovan’s Edinburgh elopement are some of my favourites from this year 🎞️✨

Days like this remind me how lucky I am to do what I do. I get to meet the most wonderful people and photograph stories that feel deeply personal, creative and completely unique to them.

Sheridan and Donovan chose to elope in Edinburgh, the city where they got engaged on Christmas Day. They first met while studying Theatre Performance at university and started dating in their final year, and that creative spirit flowed through every part of their day.

From the thoughtful details and how they decided to explore the city together after their ceremony (with a pit stop for pizza!), everything felt effortless, romantic and unmistakably them.

There’s something about seeing a story come back on film that always feels so magical. These frames feel timeless, cinematic and full of the quiet moments that made their day so special. 🎞️✨

The pool at @braccialieri was straight out of a retro movie set, and I was living my kitschy vintage fantasy (no surprises there if you know me!).

The most gorgeous light leaks, lens flair and soft magic that you can only get on film.

When they first got in touch, they described their vision and I was instantly obsessed:

“We loved the Italian feel of the cobblestone courtyard, so we’re taking inspiration from that. We’re a relaxed couple and our main priority is making sure people are well fed, the drinks are flowing, and there’s plenty of laughter. We’re thinking fresh white flowers, candles, Aperol and Prosecco, a gelato truck, and late-night pizza…”

A total vibe. Aperols flowing, gelato in the sunshine, late-night pizza, and so much laughter, what a dream to capture.

These two have the most romantic story: they met on an oyster farm in Japan (I mean… come on! How perfect is that?). Their wedding was a beautiful blend of cultures, travel, and love, with family and friends joining them from Japan, the USA, and across the UK to celebrate in the heart of Edinburgh.
