Laura & Will came from the USA to the Isle of Skye, Scotland for a romantic Quiraing elopement. It is a perfect location for dramatic, awe-inspiring scenery with ancient rock formations, sweeping views, and a sense of romantic mystery.

Laura and Will eloped to Scotland from Washington USA with a small group of their closest family. They planned their wedding in a few short months, booking me weeks before their wedding. They chose the stunning Glenshiel Lodge & Estate allowing all their guests to stay with them for an extended stay on the Isle of Skye.
On their wedding day, the rain and wind was relentless but Lura & Will didn’t let it ruin their plans for their elopement. They chose the jawdropping Quiraing for their elopement spot. As we approached their ceremony spot at the Quiraing on the road from Uig, all I could see was mist on the road.
During the ceremony, the rain and mist began to clear. The view over the rugged Totternish Ridge began to appear from the mist, it was the most magical moment. As we headed back towards the car park, the rain and wind picked up. Their plans for pitching their tent for a post-ceremony picnic had to be abandoned. Thinking that Fairy Glen might work as an alternative location I headed down with Laura and Will for their couple portraits.
Thanks to my knowledge of Skye, the tent was able to be pitched in a beautiful spot I had suggested in Fairy Glen. Laura, Will plus their guests were able to enjoy their incredible cake, champagne and food platter. Following their meal they headed back to Glenshiel Lodge for cocktails and an incredible meal by the Lunchbox Boys.
My top tip for eloping in the Isle of Skye is to be flexible with your plans. I’m always happy to suggest an alternative plan before or on your wedding day; or extend your couple session to the following day.
I have lived in Scotland my whole life and my family history is intertwined with Scotland. I can trace my family history here back over 500 years and the magic of the Scottish Highlands has always inspired me. I photographed my first Scottish elopement back in 2013 and have photographed elopements and micro-weddings for over 100 couples. Did you know I also do some acting work and am in Season 2 of the TV show Outlander? The Isle of Skye is a special place to me having traveled up here for multiple elopements and holidays since 2016.
I photograph both analogue film and digital photography working to create photography with romance and nostalgia. I am a detail-driven photographer capturing the little details as well as the big moments and feelings of your day with style.
