A colourful relaxed Summerhall Edinburgh wedding – Mim & Rick
Mim and Rick met at Edinburgh uni halls of residence at the end of first year. They hung around with the same group of friends and went on nights out. At a flat party, they kissed and have been inseparable ever since. Rick proposed in the Cairngorms on Mim’s 27th birthday and they planned their wedding at Summerhall, close to where they live and had spent time together at uni.
Their day started with a traditional Chinese tea ceremony hosted by Rick’s mum Cui Fen. Miriam’s bridesmaid Rianna sang as she walked down the aisle with her dad Gavin. They chose a relaxed humanist ceremony with a traditional Scottish hand fasting and drinking from the quaich.
I loved all the bunting which was made by Mim’s mum Lynne.
The gorgeous weather meant we were able to go up to Calton Hill for their couple photos as the sun was setting. They had shared their first date there and was a super emotional moment capturing them on the bench where they had sat together.
